Views on The U.S. going to War

My view on the war is simple. I believe there is always time for peace, especially when you are all about trying to be a peacemaker. However, when a country wants to invade another country and declare war on that country whether it be Egypt declaring war on the US that's when I'm not about peace anymore. The Bible talks about there being a time for peace and also a time for war. In this day and age there is no time to take anyone lightly especially when they are talking about wiping a country away. 1 Chronicles 5:20-22 (KJV) "And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him. And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand. For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity." (Nelson, 2001) God will give us the wisdom on how to deal with certain situations when we put our trust in him. Psalm 144:1-2 (KJV) "Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me." (Nelson, 2001) For example, God gave Joshua wisdom at the battle of Jericho and David when he fought the Giant philistine Goliath.

God will give his people the strength to fight in combat when we trust in him that we will come out victorious. Psalm 27:1 (KJV) "The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Nelson, 2001) That Bible verse gives us a confidence of peace in our heart that God will protect against any battle in our lives which is already won because God fight all our battles. If we ever doubt God, Revelations 12:7-9 (KJV) "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevaileth not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." (Nelson, 2001) Satan was once God's angel in heaven but Satan got prideful and wanted to control heaven. God would not allow that to happen so Michael and his angels fought against the dragon which was the Devil. Michael and his angels defeated Satan and his angels. God cast Satan and his angels out of heaven and in the earth because of his evil ways.

For those people that are scared of war or rumors of war that is not a good thing. If the enemy sense anyone's weakness he or she is already doomed and set themselves up to be defeated. We as Christians have to have a strong faith in God. Ephesians 6:13-17 (KJV) "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God..." (Nelson, 2001) Yes, there is a time for peace and a time for war it says in Ecclesiastes 3:8 (KJV) "A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." (Nelson, 2001) This is true but we also have to understand that it's all in God's timing so in the meantime we still have to be careful like it says in Philippians 4:6 (KJV) "Be careful for nothing; but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Nelson, 2001)
