My view on abortion is
simple. I'm not for a woman killing her baby under no circumstances. If it's a
situation that goes beyond the norm of a traditional pregnancy
then, I think that a woman should be able to choose an appropriate
adoption agency that will give her baby the proper love and care. I think it's
wrong to kill a baby because that baby did nothing wrong. He or she didn't ask
to be born in this world and he or she should not have to go through being
aborted. Roe vs. Wade gives a woman whether married or single to have a doctor
to perform the abortion if the woman wants it. The simple decision is an
obvious "No Way!" should be an answer to a question "Should a
woman have a right to kill her baby?" I think abortion is an unethical way
of saying, "If a woman have a baby or babies that she shouldn't have to
raise it or them and it's her choice to save it or kill it." The only
choice is a simple choice and that should be to save a life and therefore
that's being prolife. The phrase, "you made your bed, so you have to lay
in it," holds true to for any woman who got pregnant with a deadbeat
father of an ex-boyfriend or ex-husband. Everyone makes mistakes and they can
say that they were "young and dumb" but a baby shouldn't have to
suffer because of their parents foolish mistakes. A baby should be raised
in an environment where he or she will be loved so when they grow up and
get married and have children of their own, that they can say that their
mom and dad were a positive influence on their lives.
The
Bible also talks about abortion as being wrong. Luke 1:36;41 (KJV)
"And behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in
her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. And
it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth hear the salutation of Mary, the babe
leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost."(Nelson,
2001) Luke 2:12;16 (KJV) "And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall
find the babe wrapped in his swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And they
came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a
manger." (Nelson, 2001) Exodus 21:22 (KJV) "If men strive, and
hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief
follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay
upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine." A baby should never
be killed whether if he or she was born out of wedlock or not born out of
wedlock. The Bible says that babies are precious and innocent. (Nelson,
2001) Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew
thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I
ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."(Nelson, 2001) It is
therefore, unlawful to abort a baby because it is the same crime as committing
murder. Deuteronomy 27:25 (KJV) "Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the
words of the law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen."(Nelson,
2001) In Proverbs 6:17 (KJV) The Lord hates ..."hands that shed innocent
blood."(Nelson, 2001)
I
always knew in my heart, that it's just best that anyone that have a child
should not torture him or her no matter what pain a parent or parents went
through to have a baby. It's the parent's job to which it says
in Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) "Train up a child in the way he should go: and
when is old, he will not depart from it." (Nelson, 2001) In order for a
parent or parents do that, they have to first, own up to their responsibilities
as parents and that's protecting the child and making sure that nothing come in
the way as something as immoral and unconstitutional as abortion. Something to
think about, if our mom's would have aborted us when we were a baby none of us
would be here. So does it really make any sense for a woman to have an
abortion? I don't think so!
